Global Digital Divide

Global Digital Divide

advantages of developed world for bridging the global digital divide is that now countries can communicate better with each other. This allows more developed countries to contact less developed countries and start shipping technology over there that is needed increasing the digital development in areas such as digital products and hospital equipment. Also because the world is more developed it is easier to deliver digital technology to other countries slowly closing the gap on the global digital divide.

Advantages for the poorest countries is that with the digital divide being bridged they have more access to digital technology which can advance areas of their county which would definitely need it. There would now be better hospital equipment reducing the death count and also the amount of sick and ill people. They can now create a better energy supply as they have the digital tech needed to do so. New jobs are being created because of the digital bridge closing such as IT help assistant and computer programmers etc.

Charities such as computer aid do more good then harm as they give computers to hospitals which gives hospitals access to the internet which can be needed so they can determine illnesses or other information on problems people are having. It can allow hospitals to have another means of communicating with other places via the internet. Universities and schoolsnow have computers that allow the students to study things much easier online and allow them to learn more than they ever could from a book. Computers and laptops give more possibilities with how to be educated and how students can complete there work as they can now use programmes such as microsoft word and powerpoint.
