Games consoles I used such as Xbox and PS3 main audience is mainly young kids to young adults with even some occasional middle aged adults get enticed. By making PS3 online with Playstaion network and Xbox with Xbox live it adds another level to gaming by connecting people to play together online. This attracts people as they can now play with friends and have even more ways to play then just on their own. Limitations of PS3 and Xbox is the console and the games to do with them can be very pricey but is worth while for the amount of entertainment you can get out of them.

Laptops and computers purpose is to use for general online things such as visiting sites and do things on software such as Microsoft word where you can write on or photo shop where you can edit photos.
These two devices have no general targeted audience apart from babies who obviously cannot use them but computers and laptops have something to do on them suitable for any age. By making computers and laptops online they have so much more potential as they can be used to surf the web which is the main function and without that there usefulness would be drastically reduced and they would just be like a pad and a big calculator rolled into one.

Phones and Ipods are both hand held devise capable of downloading apps where as ipods are more used for listening to music and phones are for texting and calling people. They can both be used for contacting people by SMS and IM on social websites. There target audience is also generally anyone as they have something for every age whether its a way to play little mini games or a means of communicating with people phones and Ipods have a purpose for everyone. By making Ipods and phones online they are able to have the whole function of downloading all kinds of apps on them, if they weren't online this wouldn't be possible and make them dull and ipods practically useless. Phone and ipod both fulfil their potential as phones are still a very quck and easy way to contact people and ipods are the main devices used for music and downloading apps from iTunes.
