Downloading

Downloaded items:

• music from iTunes
• Movies from Lovefilm
• Mini games from app store
• Ebooks from kindle
• Software such as photoshop

 Reasons why me and my family downloaded rather than buying the physical goods:

• Didn't have to go through the trouble of traveling to the stores.
• Didn't have to deal with the stress of shopping stores.
• Things such as apps can only be brought online.
• Some things are cheaper if downloaded such as Ebooks or Music.
• Easier finding the goods to download online instead of searching through stores.
• Software is easier to install sometimes if it's brought online.
• Sometimes goods have to be downloadedto work on devices aka Ebooks can only be downloaded to work on a kindle. 
• Some downloads are free such as Ebooks from a college or university library service with a site license or special offers on music from the ITunes store.

The downloading service I used managed to fulfil their purpose very well. With iTunes I just pay for the song I want download it on to my computer and I have that song forever in a file and on my apple account in case I lose it on my computer. Buying ebooks is a very good service as well because once you download it onto a device such as a kindle you can read it immediately just as if it was a book just in digital form. Most downloading services provide good quality transactions so long as you have a good enough computer and broadband connection to download it. Just choose a trust worthy service to download from.

Problems with downloading:

• Virus can be included in insecure downloads
• Spyware can also be in insecure downloads
• You can't always tell how good the quality of the download you paid for is before its too late.
• Giving credit card details online for downloading goods is quite risky.
• If you don't have enough MB/GB for the download you cant download it.
• Downloading can take a while where as in a store, hand to hand transaction are much quicker.
• Some downloads aren't compatible with your machine and will not open.
• Downloads have the possibility of being lost.
