Pros and Cons of Chat and IM

Pros of using IM is:

•  that you are able to talk with friends and family when ever you want. From anywhere you are.
• You can chat with someone from the opposite side of the world. Its a quick, easy and efficient way of getting in contact with people. This makes it good way for organising things such as activities and events between people.
• With IM you dont have to always typoe formally.
• You can make groupo chats

Cons of IM is:

•  that you could talk to someone that you don't know which can be possibly dangerous.
•  If you want to chat to someone they have to be on at the same time.
• Anyone can type anything to you which could be offensive or rude etc.
• Can't show physical emotions
• Text talk can cause problems with the other person understanding it.
• IM makes iteasier for someone to be cyber bullied.
